Regus announces first Plymouth Workspace Week
The centre team at Regus Plymouth are organising a programme of events in and around the city this February to help local professionals discover new and more flexible ways of working.
Plymouth Workspace Week is a local initiative designed to showcase all the city has to offer when it comes to flexible workspace. It will take place from the 6th to the 10th of February and offer networking events, informative talks and productivity workshops. All events are free to attend and are open to everyone.
The week begins with a launch event at the Regus centre on Sutton Harbour at 8.30 am on Monday 6th Feb. The event will include a welcome breakfast and talks from each workspace venue taking part in the week.
Various workshops and talks are then scheduled to take place throughout the rest of the week at a variety of venues across Plymouth. These include an afternoon of short talks on technology that can make your work life easier and Super Socialise Me, a business for social media workshop, plus many more.
The action-packed week will culminate with an afternoon party at Regus Express Drake Circus where guests will be able to network over nibbles and fizz.
Flexible working is fast gaining traction in the UK, with 46% of professionals now working from locations other than the office for at least half the week.
Richard Morris, UK CEO at Regus, comments: “We’re proud to support the very first Plymouth Workspace Week, an inspired initiative created by our local centre team, which will highlight the benefits of flexible working for Plymouth professionals.
“Flexible working policies play a vital role in improving work life balance, such as offering staff a choice in where and when they work. Many innovative employers and entrepreneurs are already doing this – we see our network of business centres used every day by people working flexibly – but there is still progress to be made. Our expectation is that the week will give even more Plymouth professionals the impetus to embrace this new way of working.”
