Popular Plymouth beauty spot looking spit spot
One of Plymouth’s best loved beauty spots has been given a spruce up as part of Plymouth’s Community Payback scheme.
As part of the scheme a group of offenders have been restoring the buildings at Devil’s point.
The team have renovated the two shelters which included all the ceiling and outer wall repairs to prevent water damage. They have also painted the benches and rails to the roof terrace. This was supported by the Council’s Street Cleansing Team who removed all the vegetation for the work to take place,
Councillor Brian Vincent said: “I was really impressed with the quality of work that has been carried out on this latest project as part of Plymouth’s community payback scheme. Devil’s point is a favourite destination for both locals and tourists alike so these improvements will really make a difference ahead of the Easter break.
"This is a great project – not only does it see a landmark get a fresh lick of paint and remedial repairs, the people tasked with doing it are contributing their time and efforts in a way that will benefit the community as a whole.”
