Reappointment of Non Executive Director
NHS Improvement has confirmed the reappointment of Elizabeth Raikes as Non Executive Director of Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust.
A chartered accountant by profession, Mrs Raikes was previously a Chief Executive in the public sector, including Torbay Council, for 12 years. With an integrated health and social care system in Torbay, Mrs Raikes has considerable experience of close and successful partnership working with commissioners, community health and social care colleagues and acute sector in Torbay.
Mrs Raikes started her career in the navy before going on to train as a teacher. In this capacity she worked at Lipson School, Plymouth and Saltash Comprehensive School early in her career.
Richard Crompton, Chairman of Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We are very pleased that Elizabeth has been reappointed to serve as a Non Executive Director as the skills, local knowledge and insights she brings have been, and continue to be, invaluable.”
Non-executive appointments to NHS Trusts made by NHS Improvement are subject to the Code of Practice of the Commissioner for Public Appointments.
Elizabeth Raikes has been appointed from 25 September 2016 until 24 September 2018 and is entitled to receive a remuneration of £6,157 per annum. She has declared no political activity in the last five years.
