Useful Resources for Business Startups

After moving back to Plymouth after several years in London I was unsure as to whether there would be anyone else like myself running their own business.

After searching online and speaking to a few small business owners I realised that Plymouth has a wealth of small business owners.

A few weeks ago Plymouth hosted yet another successful business week.

As a new business owner I wanted to share some of the resources I've found most useful over the last 6 months. Some are specific to Plymouth, others are online resources.

http://sixoclockclub.com/ - This networking event just celebrated it's first anniversary with an impressive turnout. It's a great place to network and meet small business owners.

http://www.plymouthanddevonchamber.co.uk/ - Fantastic way to receive impartial advice and to meet like-minded business owners.

http://www.skylineoffices.co.uk/small-business-ideas.php - When I first moved back I had my heart set on starting my own business, but I wasn't too sure. This resource gave me a great starting ground.

http://peopleperhour.com - A freelancing site that let's you apply for a lot of high quality jobs.

Running your own business is hard, but it is so much more rewarding than the normal 9 - 5 day to day grind. As a graphic designer I've had the chance to work with some fantastic clients to help them produce so really interesting pieces of content. Below are a few of my favourites:
