Jeremiah’s Journey one step on with Otter Garden Centre Plymouth
Otter Garden Centres' Plymouth branch has announced the total raised during 2017 for local charity Jeremiah’s Journey.
The garden centre in Brixton raised more than £2,100 through a variety of activities.
These included raffles, collecting tins at till points and customer donations from a visit by wood turners. In December, the branch held a Christmas launch day for customers.
Restaurant Manager, Adele Rundle said that everyone in the branch had got involved in the fundraising efforts.
“Jeremiah’s Journey is a charity close to our hearts,” she commented.
“It aims to make sure that children, young people and their parents or carers in the area have support when someone close to them dies, or a parent has a terminal illness, helping them to deal with grief.”
The charity is self-funded, so it is reliant on local people and businesses for donations.
Jeremiah’s Journey Fundraising Team Leader, Laura Goodchild said: “I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the team at Otter for the warm welcome and open approach given to the charity.”
During 2018, Otter Garden Centre Plymouth has decided to fundraise to help dementia causes in the local area.
