Lifeworks Charity Champions Inclusive Tourism At Devon Tourism Awards 2023/24
In a celebration of accessibility and inclusion, Lifeworks Charity proudly sponsored the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award at the prestigious Devon Tourism Awards 2023/24. The event, held at The Riviera International Centre, showcased the best in the tourism industry, with Lifeworks’ Head of College, Karen Dorow, presenting the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award
Karen emphasised the importance of making tourism accessible and inclusive for everyone. THE GOLD AWARD WINNER
The Gold Award winner went to Seaton Tramway. The tramway’s commitment to providing an inclusive environment for visitors of all abilities stood out, earning them the top honour. Karen expressed her delight at presenting the award, stating, “Seaton Tramway has truly embraced the spirit of accessible tourism. Their dedication to creating an inclusive space for everyone exemplifies the values we hold dear at Lifeworks Charity.”
THE SILVER AND BRONZE AWARDS
Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum claimed the Silver Award for their outstanding efforts in making their attractions accessible to a wide range of visitors. The Bronze Award went to Lower Keats Glamping, a testament to their commitment to providing inclusive and welcoming accommodations.
