Opportunity to bid for two nights in Fowey Hall Hotel

Luxury Family Hotels and its owner, Patron Capital Partners, have donated two nights’ stay at Fowey Hall Hotel in Fowey, Cornwall, for a charity auction in aid of disabled war veterans.

The auction will be taking place on the evening of Tuesday, 5 November, at Plymouth Albion Rugby Football Club and follows the annual South West Peninsula Medics Rugby Challenge match between the Medics and Royal Marines that takes place during the day. Both events are in support of the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund (RMCTF). The RMCTF is the Royal Marines’ charity that is dedicated to looking after all Royal Marines in need, including serving, retired or injured marines and their families.

Adrian Burley, Head of Marketing, Luxury Family Hotels, said: “Through offering stays at our Fowey Hall Hotel in Cornwall we are delighted to be able to support the invaluable work carried out by the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund as well as a major regional charity event in the South West. Local community involvement is very much part of our ethos.”

Lt Col Richard Kenworthy, RMCTF Fundraising Manager, said: “Events such as the South West Peninsula Medics Rugby Challenge and Charity Auction combined with the generous backing from companies such as Patron and Luxury Family Hotels enable us to support and have a positive impact on the lives of current and former Royal Marines and their families when in need.”

Keith M. Breslauer, Patron’s Managing Director, said:
“We have worked with charities supporting the Royal Marines for the last two years, having organised six major fundraising events, provided work placements for war veterans, and invited injured and active Royal Marines to join us on our annual ski trip and running the Royal Parks half marathons. It has been an immensely rewarding experience for us to get to know these brave individuals and do our bit to give something back and we’re very pleased to support this event.”

Perched above the sailing town of Fowey, Fowey Hall was the inspiration behind Kenneth Graham’s creation of Toad Hall in his magical book, The Wind in the Willows. The building and extensive grounds have been transformed into luxury hotel and spa that children and adults can enjoy.
