The Princess Theatre, Torquay announce their Charity of the Year
Back in February the Princess Theatre, Torquay announced on their social channels they were on the look out for a new 'Charity of the Year'.
A spokesperson for the theatre said "This exciting initiative is all about giving back, building connections, and using the magic of theatre to make a real difference in our community!"
A dedicated panel shortlisted the top contenders and put the final decision to a staff-wide vote.
The chosen charity? The South Western Ambulance Service Community First Responders!
They support the work of the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) in delivering exceptional care to South West communities, their staff and volunteers.
Ross Bibby - Theatre Manager said "We’re proud to play a part in helping them deliver their vital service, making a real difference in our community. Together, we can help ensure that life-saving care is there when it's needed most."
Next time you visit the venue, keep an eye out for collection points dotted around the theatre after a show.
