Blundell’s School pupils achieve excellent GCSE level results
Blundell’s School pupils have achieved an excellent set of GCSE Level results this year. This marks a significant achievement for them, particularly in the light of grades returning to normal with the more restrictive awarding of top grades than for the last 2 years.
13% of all grades awarded were a 9, 30% were at 9-8 and an impressive 49% of all grades were at 7, 8 or 9.
Fifteen pupils averaged a grade 8 or higher and the year group as a whole has achieved excellent value-added results across all abilities.
Mr Charles List, Deputy Head Academic, said, “We are absolutely delighted with the results achieved by our Year 11 pupils. The last few years have been a challenge for teachers and pupils alike, but it is one that they have risen to admirably and these results are a wonderful reflection of their hard work and application. We are very proud of them all.
We must remember that these pupils achieved such impressive exam results alongside all their other extra-curricular endeavours. Our dedicated staff are truly passionate about the success and well-being of our pupils and share in their delight around these results”
