Plympton Academy students take part in You're Hired event

Year 12 students from Plympton Academy took part in a You’re Hired event recently where they were set problem-solving and teamwork challenges by employers from industry and finance.

The students who the employers judged performed the best will go through to a city-wide Apprentice-style final in June, competing with students from schools across Plymouth.

The Plympton Academy finalists are: Rosie Hannaford, Charlotte Simmons-Enefer, Will Vanstone and Josh Ingram. Reserves are: Ben Nettleship, Rory Bowden, Tom Burkinshaw and Brandon Russell.

"The event was a rewarding experience,” said student, Will Vanstone. “And we had to work in teams to overcome the challenges. We learnt skills like team building and team management from the employers. I am really looking forward to the finals."
