Nancy: Free flash performances in Plymouth
Theatre Royal Plymouth will be presenting four free performances of a new 30 minute play about Nancy Astor, the first woman to sit as a Member of Parliament, on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 November.
Charlie Chaplin, Amy Johnson, J.M. Barrie, Franz Ferdinand, Henry James, F.D. Roosevelt, Mahatma Gandhi and Joachim von Ribbentrop attended wild parties at the house of Nancy Astor.
100 years after she took her seat as the first female Member of Parliament, TRP presents a playful new 30 minute drama by South West writer Shiona Morton uncovering the controversial and contradictory story of Our Nancy. The show is performed by Heidi Dorschler and Beth Holmes and is directed by Kay Michael.
Catch one of four free flash performances of this sharp and witty insight into Plymouth’s trailblazing political history in the foyer at TRP, steeped in shadow and undeniable truth.
This is a FREE event. Tickets can be booked online at www.theatreroyal.com or by calling the Theatre Royal Plymouth Box Office on 01752 26722 for those who wish to reserve a seat.
