New animation-inspired gallery opens in Honiton

Blue Pencil Gallery is a new, animation-inspired gallery opening on October 29th 2022 in Honiton.

A new boutique-gallery showcasing art created and inspired by animation is opening on Honiton High Street. The gallery is named after the blue pencil used by animators to draw their rough animation poses. It will reflect a fun approach to art, with an emphasis on animation and cartoon characters.

The gallery is owned by Anna Saunders, an animator herself with 40 years experience in the industry, both in the UK and USA. Anna has worked on productions ranging from Futurama in LA to Beatrix Potter in London.  Her experience makes her a mine of information for anyone wanting to discover more about the art of animation.

Anna commented "Animation is a wonderful genre and one which appeals to all generations.  At the Blue Pencil we will showcase work produced by animators from around the world, from traditional hand-drawn to digital art.
