Blundell’s School pupils achieve outstanding A-level results
Blundell’s School pupils have achieved a fantastic set of A-level results this year. This marks a significant achievement, particularly in the light of grades returning to normal with the more restrictive awarding of top grades than for the last 2 years.
We are therefore delighted to announce that 54% of grades are at A* or A and 79% at A* to B. Almost a quarter of the grades achieved were an A*. 30 pupils out of the year group of 92 achieved 3As or more, and 7 pupils achieved all A*s. Our value added is once again very strong across all abilities.
There has been a particularly high rate of acceptance for Blundell’s students into their choice of university, with over 90% being placed with popular destinations including Oxford, Imperial, LSE, Durham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Reading and Manchester.
Mr Charles List, Deputy Head Academic, said, “This year’s excellent A-level results are a wonderful reflection of the hard work and diligence of the class of 2023.
"We are immensely proud of them. This past academic year has been as busy as ever and not only have these pupils achieved such impressive exam results but they have done that alongside all their other extra-curricular endeavours.
"We must also thank all the academic and House staff for their contribution to the fantastic outcomes of these pupils.
"Our dedicated staff are truly passionate about the success and well-being of our pupils and share in their delight around these results.”
