ArtMakers launch 'Spring Breaks' virtual art exhibition
A brand new online exhibition has opened to the public featuring 19 artworks from the ‘New Atlantic Wave’ of artists in northern Devon.
Curated by ArtMakers, the Spring Breaks theme promises impressionist watercolours, abstract acrylics and vibrant paintings of local wildlife, dramatic seascapes and rolling countryside hills that north Devon is so well known for.
Artists include Lesley Ann Cornish, Coastal Creative, Jennie Cousins, Instow Art Studios Rosie Burns, Sam Cousins, and Louise Nevison, all residing in the local area.
Hosted on ArtPlacer, the exhibition is available to view now until 30th April 2023 and can be accessed through the ArtMakers website on any digital device.
When asked about this exciting new exhibition, Hilary Beecroft and Phil Parker said:
“This is an exciting exhibition announcing the diversity of, and our reflections on, nature which inspire so many people at this time of year.”
Spring Breaks is ArtMakers’ first exhibition of 2023, whose mission is to showcase the work of artists and makers in north Devon - The ‘New Atlantic wave’.
Last year, they successfully hosted six exhibitions, including their first in-person exhibition which debuted the ‘New Atlantic Wave’ as part of the Appledore Book Festival Fringe with resounding success.
ArtMakers offer a unique opportunity for local talent with a website that gives creators a platform to sell works, promote art in virtual exhibitions, and access an information-support service on funding, art services, selling, marketing and much more.
