It’s not just adults who can enjoy the mud at RockSolid Race

In March, RockSolid Race is returning to Escot Park but this time it’s not only the adults who get to have all the fun. Children aged between 5 and 13 years can take part in the Yeo Valley Rock Stars – a mini obstacle course.

The mini event is split into two age groups and distances– 5-7 year olds who need to be accompanied by an adult for a 1km course and 8-13 year olds who complete a 1 mile course with extra and more challenging obstacles.

Over the course, they will face obstacles that include net scrambles, balance beams, tunnels and straw pyramids – to name but a few.

Ashley Jardine, founder and owner of RockSolid Race said “We’re really thrilled that we’re now offering a chance for the whole family to take part in our obstacle race. After all why should the adults have all the fun?”

“We have designed a carefully constructed mini race over 1km with safety being our number one priority. We are lucky to have a great team who ensure that the obstacles are safe and that everyone who takes part is looked after, without compromising the fun.”

The mini event is run by RockSolid Race and sponsored by Yeo Valley, who have teamed up with Calvert Trust Exmoor as their chosen charity.

Calvert Trust Exmoor is the South West’s premier outdoor activity destination for people with all types of disabilities, welcoming over 4,000 guests. They even have a team taking part in the event and anyone can choose to raise sponsorship in aid of this great charity.

All kids are challenged to raise at least £10 in sponsorship for this great cause – with the top fundraisers in each category winning a whole day at Calvert Trust Exmoor enjoying several adventurous activities for one child plus one adult.

And for their effort? Rock Stars who complete the event will receive a free t-shirt, dog tag memento and lots of Yeo Valley treats!
