Over 50 food producers, artists and makers will be heading to Saltram over the weekend for the Summer Fete which will showcase local food, drink and crafts made in Cornwall and Devon.

There will also be masses of family entertainment on offer including traditional fete games, juggling workshops, a programme of talks taking place in Saltram’s Grade II listed Orangery with topics including Bee-keeping with Tamar Grow Local, Buying, preparing and cooking with crabs with SWFish, How to make your own paellas at home with Big Pan Parties and Garden gluts, foraging and sorcery with Berrio Mill. There’ll also be plenty of food and drink for making picnics to enjoy in the gardens, lawn games and Saltram’s stylish deck chairs, perfect for lounging and soaking up the atmosphere.

Sara Rock from Tamar Grow Local said: ‘We’re really looking forward to Saltram Summer Fete. We’ll be bringing along mountains of strawberries and cream, cool Tamar Valley apple juice and lots more - July is such as fantastic time for fresh local produce and this is the perfect event to showcase what is available locally.’

Also appearing on the Sunday afternoon will be the famous Arrowbarrows Display Team, a fearless band of pilots and their trusty wheelbarrows who will take to the Saltram House lawn at 2pm.

Saltram Summer Fete has free parking and entry for National Trust members. Normal rates will apply for non-members.
