The Venus Company launches a new healthy dog menu for its four-legged customers!
Dogs just love to run free on the beach whatever the weather and a perfect day out with the family is not complete without a visit to one of the three dog-friendly Venus beach cafes across South Devon. Here you will find a warm welcome for both you and your best friend, who will be well cared for with the launch of Venus’ canine menu.
With three different natural chews specific for small, medium, and large dogs, Venus can cater to every size. The tasty dog treats are fully digestible and sustainable, naturally made from by-products of the meat industry. Individually wrapped in fully recyclable packaging, ensures there is no single-use plastic, an important factor for the Venus brand which banned plastic straws from all its cafes over 20 years ago.
Michael Smith – M/D The Venus Company says: “We have always welcomed dogs with open arms at each of our Venus beach cafes and with the puppy explosion during the lockdown, we’ve seen a significant increase in the number of four-legged customers visiting with their families. When dining out, dog owners often give titbits to their pets from their own plates, however, it’s not always good for them or their diet. This is one of the reasons why we are launching an exciting and very different addition to our menu. Now your much-loved pet can feel very much part of the delicious and nutritional Venus eating-out experience.”
Venus is offering a main course of three canine chews from The Canine Menu Ltd, followed by Jude’s ice cream as dessert, both bursting with health benefits and safe for dogs. The range of tasty dog products is a new line for Venus and means you can keep your furry friends happy and entertained for longer whilst you relax and enjoy delicious food and drinks from the extensive Venus Cafe menu for humans!
Michael explains: “Working with partners who embrace our ethos and values of sustainability and giving back to the community is extremely important to us. We have been working with Jude’s for 12 months, however, the delicious dog ice cream is new for us and 5% of the profits go to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, one of the UK's oldest and best-known animal rescue centres established in 1860. Jude’s product is completely plant-based, made with real fruit purées of strawberry, apple, and banana so a great dessert to share with your dog!”
