Seventy-five nights of happy holidays have been handed to NHS workers by Devon's Ladram Bay Holiday Park as a "thank you" for their dedication and bravery.

The family business said it wanted to give away a free night's stay for every one of the past 75 years it has been welcoming guests to its seaside park in Budleigh Salterton.

It means that when the park is allowed to re-open, NHS staff and their families will enjoy no-cost holidays both at Ladram Bay and its nearby sister park Castle Brake.

The breaks include stays in luxury holiday homes, chic glamping accommodation, camping, and touring caravans – all with free use of the parks' facilities.

Health service workers from across the UK were nominated for the free holiday draw by visitors to the Facebook and Instagram pages of Ladram Bay.

Business director Zoe House, who is a member of the park-owning family, said the response had been "absolutely phenomenal":

"I think it illustrates just how much affection and high regard people have for those in the NHS who take risks and make sacrifices on our behalf," said Zoe.

"It's incredible to think that in 1943 when we first started providing camping facilities on our family farm, the NHS was still five years away from being formed.

"Nobody, of course, could have predicted the amazing role its dedicated staff have since played in all our lives, and especially during the present crisis.

"Everyone here can't wait until our park is buzzing again with holiday visitors, and we can pay our personal thanks to some of these heroes," added Zoe.

Ladram Bay provides a wide range of luxury holiday caravans and holiday lodges to rent or own, glamping pods, and pitches for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents.

As well as outstanding sea views and private beach, guests have use of many attractions such as an indoor climbing, swimming pool and splash zone, and adventure golf course.
