Study reveals a Devon beach wedding venue is the most Instagrammable in the UK!

The most Instagram-worthy beach wedding venues in the UK have been revealed in a new study, and a stunning Devon venue ranks number one in the list!

Golden sands, serene ocean views and the gentle sound of waves hitting the shore, there’s no denying the romantic appeal of a beachside wedding.

Wedding invitation company, Aura Print, analysed 70 of the most sought-after beach wedding destinations and discovered the UK’s most Instagrammable coastal wedding venues.

1. Tunnels Beaches, Devon

The stunning spot of Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe, Devon boasts over 13k hashtags on Instagram, making this the study’s number one pick.

Located on the beautiful North Devon coast, Tunnels Beaches is situated on a cliff top with hand carved tunnels down to a secluded private beach. The venue provides a thatched roof gazebo which overlooks the breathtaking Devon coastline for a picture-perfect backdrop. 

2. Lusty Glaze Beach Weddings, Cornwall

Taking our second most picturesque coastal spot is Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay, Cornwall, with over 10k Instagram hashtags.

Methodology:

1. A  list of coastal and beachside wedding venues in the uk and their location was sourced using Hitched and Bridebook. 
2. For each wedding venue the following hashtags were searched on Instagram and a count produced in order to quantify the most instagrammed wedding venue: #venuename,#venuenamebeachwedding #venuenamewedding, #venuenameweddings,#venuenamebride, #venuenameweddingphotography, #venuenameweddingvideography, #weddingvenueweddingvenue, #weddingvenueweddingflowers, #weddingvenueweddingmakeup. 
3. The counts of each individual hashtag were added up to give an overall “# count”. 
4. Venues were then sorted highest to lowest to provide the top 5 coastal and beach wedding venues in the UK. 
5. Information was then taken from the venue's websites to explore why they are so popular.
