Half-price entry to mark half a century, as Devon attraction celebrates 50 years

Beer, Devon – One of Devon's premier tourist attractions has announced it will be reopening on April 1st, 2025, marking the commencement of a milestone 50th anniversary season. Since its inception in 1975, Pecorama has been a cherished destination for families, garden enthusiasts, and model railway aficionados, offering a unique blend of family entertainment and natural beauty.

To commemorate its Golden Anniversary, Pecorama has planned a series of special events throughout the 2025 season and from July 15th to 19th, visitors can join in the festivities as Pecorama celebrates its 50th birthday in style. This celebration will feature the return of an original locomotive, Thomas Jnr, offering guests a nostalgic experience as these iconic engines take to the tracks once again.

To make the 50th anniversary even more special, Pecorama is offering a 50% discount on all tickets for the 2025 season only, as a thank you to its visitors and to celebrate this milestone. Visitors can also opt for Pecorama’s new Gold Card, which provides unlimited access to the site throughout the season, unlimited train rides, and a complimentary drink each month for the cardholder, as well as other special and exclusive offers from partner attractions.

In addition to its miniature steam railway, Pecorama boasts award-winning gardens, including the Millennium Gardens which will also be celebrating its 25th year this season. Children can enjoy large outdoor play areas, mini-golf, a wild-way walk with stunning views around Lake Charlotte and a zip wire, ensuring entertainment for all the younger visitors.

For model railway enthusiasts, the model railway exhibition showcases intricate layouts in various formats, while the well-stocked Model Railway Shop offers everything from beginner kits to advanced modelling supplies. Food and refreshments are available from on-site kiosks, including homemade pizzas at the Whistle Stop Café.

Pecorama welcomes well-behaved dogs on short leads and even offers doggie ice cream, ensuring that every member of the family can enjoy the day. Parking onsite is free and accessible parking is available for Blue Badge holders. Carers accompanying visitors with disabilities may enter free of charge.
