Adie and Trollope among big name bestsellers confirmed for Greenway’s Literary Festival in June
Big name writers will join booklovers this June for the return of the Greenway Literary Festival at Agatha Christie’s holiday home, cared for by the National Trust.
Among the authors lined up to take part are highly acclaimed bestselling author Joanna Trollope, who’ll be discussing her latest novel ‘Mum & Dad’, and multi-million international bestseller Kate Mosse, as she introduces the second book in the ‘Burning Chambers’ series. BBC News Chief Correspondent Kate Adie will be sharing her experiences of reporting from the front line along with household names Jonathan Dimbleby, Terry Waite, Alison Weir, and Kit de Waal among others.
There’ll also be something for readers of all ages, bestselling writer Abie Longstaff will run a workshop for young fans of her Fairytale Hairdresser series and Patrice Lawrence will read from her latest Young Adult novel.
The festival will be bringing a diverse mixture of writers and genres to the holiday home of one of the world’s best-loved crime writers from Monday 8 – Sunday 14 June 2020. With daily talks, selected evening events and a family-focused weekend, this year’s festival is set to be bigger and better.
The gardens of Greenway will become a unique space for the festival, with the main tent holding talks, book signings and pop-up bookshop on the tennis court. The ‘Greenway Fringe’ will feature an afternoon Vinery Bar serving refreshing tipples, a local authors corner and outdoor exhibition in the Walled Garden.
And during the May half term there’ll be pre-festival events and activities to take part in such as the ‘I am the seed’ outdoor nature poetry trail and story sharing.
The festival is a partnership project between the National Trust and Literature Works, the South West’s literature development charity, with corporate partner Atkins Ferrie Wealth Management sponsoring the festival.
