Appeal after Devonport knifepoint robbery

Police are in Devonport are appealing for witnesses after the Kwik Shop convenience store on Albert road was robbed on Saturday 7th March at around 7.40pm.

A man armed with a knife entered the store and demanded money.  A quantity of cash was taken from the till along with some tobacco and alcohol.  He left the shop and headed in the direction of Stoke village.

A police spokesperson said: “As you can imagine, the incident has left the shop owner and customers who were in the store at the time quite shaken.  I want to stress that this is an unusual incident for Plymouth and we want to catch this person.  I would urge anyone with any information about this incident to contact us.”

The man is described as a white male who was wearing dark clothing, possibly a tracksuit.
