Appeal following early morning robberies
Police in Plymouth are appealing for information following two linked robberies which occurred early yeseterday morning, Wednesday 5 November.
The first robbery occurred around 6.15am at the Muldowney Newsagents in Ridgeway, Plympton.
The offender entered the shop and demanding money. However the male member of staff challenged him, grappling with him and the offender left empty handed.
The staff member was unhurt but naturally very shaken following the incident.
A little later the same day, just after 6.30am a further robbery occurred at the premises of PA & DJ Drummond located in Thurlstone Walk, Leigham, Plymouth.
Two men armed with knives entered the shop and demanded money.
The shop assistant handed over £50 in cash and they both left.
Investigating officers are trying to establish whether the incidents are linked to a robbery which occurred in Billacombe Road, Plymstock early yesterday morning.
Police would like to hear from any witnesses who were in the area of either robbery at the time or from anyone who has any information as to the identity of the offenders or the identity of the vehicle.
