Appeal for witnesses following stabbing at the weekend
Police in Plymouth are appealing for witnesses after a man was allegedly stabbed in the city at the weekend.
An altercation broke out between two men in Eastbury Avenue, Honicknowle at around 4.10am on Sunday 23 February.
During the altercation a 24-year-old local man received two stab wounds to his abdomen.
Paramedics attended and took the injured man to hospital for treatment.
A 46-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail until 19 May 2014.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers are continuing to make enquiries and we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.”
