Internationally acclaimed artist Rozanne Bell will be visiting Tavistock this week to meet fans of her work.
Tavistock Picture Framing Gallery are holding a Rozanne Bell exhibition on Saturday 5 July and the artist will be there all day to meet admirers of her work, dedicate pieces and show her newest paintings.

Tavistock Picture Framing Gallery, based on the Plymouth Road Industrial Estate, is the biggest seller of Rozanne Bell paintings in the South West. In the last nine months they have sold more than 150 pieces of her distinctive work, with people visiting the gallery from far and wide regularly to buy new paintings as soon as they arrive.

Rik Hawkins, owner, said: “We are incredibly excited to be welcoming Rozanne Bell to Tavistock and are especially keen to see the many new pieces she will be bringing along, including one showing Tavistock and another, the Barbican.

“Her work seems to resonate with first time art buyers and serious collectors alike and we are proud to be the biggest seller of her work in the Region. Rozanne Bell rarely makes personal appearances so our event on Saturday really is worth coming to.”

Rozanne Bell is a self-taught artist who grew up in Zimbabwe and moved to England in 2002 to continue her work. Her paintings are vibrant and energetic and would look equally at home in a top London gallery or a modest Devon living room. The Tavistock Gallery is her favourite gallery in the south west, which is why she has chosen to visit this Saturday between 12 and 4pm and let her fans have first pick of her new work.

Rik added “We want to encourage as many people as possible to the Rozanne Bell exhibition this Saturday. You don’t need to be a serious art collector to come along to our exhibitions. They are relaxed and informal events where people can bring their cameras and their children, chat with the artist and look around our whole gallery. There will also be live music, drinks and nibbles to add to the relaxed experience.

“What’s more, we are asking people who have previously purchased one of her paintings to bring them along so Rozanne to sign a dedication.”
