Day Out With Thomas™: The Party Tour is Heading to South Devon Railway
All Aboard! Thomas the Tank Engine, everyone’s favourite #1 blue engine, is coming to town and we’re celebrating big this year for 80 years of Thomas & Friends™.
Day Out With Thomas: The Party Tour will be stopping at the South Devon Railway on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June 2025.
Day Out With Thomas is a fun-filled family event that takes place at Heritage Railways across the world.
Each ticket includes a train ride with a life-sized Thomas the Tank Engine, a real steam engine, as well as access to a full day of activities for all to enjoy.
Activities include live entertainment with Sodor Station Sweepers Rusty & Dusty, a chance to say hello to Sir Topham Hatt, garden games, Thomas & Friends character hunt, giveaways for every child and much more.
Thomas & Friends marks its 80th anniversary this year, celebrating eight decades of entertaining children and families with its timeless railway adventures.
Since its debut in 1945, the beloved franchise continues to captivate young fans with new and exciting adventures.
Special birthday celebrations on tour will feature family-friendly activities like party hat and card decorating and a disco party, and fans can even take commemorative photos with a festive Thomas adorned in confetti.
Activities include:
- Live entertainment and sing-a-longs with Sodor Station Sweepers, Rusty & Dusty
- Meet Diesel who will be busy shunting trucks in the yard
- Say hello to Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway
- Photo opportunities throughout the event, including with Thomas himself
- Find the Thomas & Friends characters hidden around the railway to reveal a message
- Visit the Play Pod to play with your favourite Thomas & Friends toys and books
- Railway museum admission with access to see Tiny, the only surviving broad gauge locomotive
- Miniature Railway rides
- A Thomas nature trail
- Thomas’ birthday celebrations including a disco party and party hat decorating
