BBC Music Day in Plymouth

The first ever BBC Music Day took place in Britain’s Ocean City, Plymouth, on Friday 5 June.

BBC Music Day is a nationwide celebration of music which aims to bring people together across generations and communities through their love of music.

BBC Music Day in Plymouth featured Plymouth Youth Concert Band, Co-operative Big Band, Plymouth University Taiko Drummers and Plymouth Youth Steel. Plus, The Poets Backbone, Rockafella, The Vibes and BBC Introducing featured band, The Normals.

The event was hosted by BBC Radio Devon’s Introducing Presenter, James Santer.
