Bereavement Service nominated for special award
The Bereavement Service at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust has been shortlisted in the ‘Best Hospital Bereavement Service’ category at the Butterfly Awards 2016 and as part of the selection process, they need votes to help win this special award.
The Butterfly Awards is an annual event that celebrates survivors and champions of baby loss and this year, Mo Cleland, Bereavement Midwife at Plymouth Hospitals, has been kindly nominated by Greg and Jen Phillips. The couple set up the Snowdrop Appeal after losing their daughter Jasmine, who was stillborn at 32 weeks and since then, have been tirelessly fundraising in the hope of making things easier for parents of stillborn children at Derriford Hospital, following their own experience.
Mo said: “I feel incredibly proud that the Bereavement Service at the Trust has been shortlisted for this award, particularly knowing that our nomination has come from the Snowdrop Appeal and parents who have experienced the loss of a baby.
“We work hard as a team across the whole of the hospital to provide individualised supportive care for the whole family and are delighted that our efforts have been recognised in this way.”
The winner of this category is decided by 50% public vote and 50% by the judging panel. If you would like to see our Bereavement Service be in for a chance of receiving this award, please vote via: https://thebutterflyawards.com/category/profiles/2016-shortlistees/best-... and select Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust.
