Cash Converters is on the lookout for lockdown heroes
Leading pre-owned goods retailer, Cash Converters wants to give back to members of the community who have gone above and beyond to support others during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Following the lifting of the UK-wide lockdown, the retailer wants to recognise people who have worked to make the lives of others better during this challenging time.
Cash Converters is encouraging people to nominate members of the local community for a chance to win a £250 voucher to spend at Cash Converters Plymouth or Exeter.
Matt Davey, Area Manager for Plymouth and Exeter Cash Converters, said: “There are so many people who have been spectacularly brave, selfless and kind during this time, and it’s been really heartwarming to see communities coming together to support each other.
“It’s so important to do what we can to be there for one another during these difficult times, and while our shops were closed during the lockdown period, behind the scenes we have been thinking of ways we can thank the special people in our local community.
“This is our small way of giving thanks and recognition to those people who have gone above the call of duty to support those around them. If the crisis has taught us anything, it’s that small gestures sometimes make the biggest difference, so we’re wanting to hear about all those people who’ve truly made a positive impact during such an unsettling time.”
Nominations can be put forward via the Cash Converters Facebook page. Two winners will each receive a £250 to spend in store, whilst the nominee will also receive a £50 Cash Converters voucher as thanks for sharing such positive stories during a challenging period.
The competition is now live and will run until Saturday 22 August, with the winner announced at midday on Saturday 29 August. Further information about the lockdown heroes competition can be found via www.facebook.com/CCUK.Plymouth or www.facebook.com/CCUK.Exeter
