Coldharbour Field Kitchen recognised as Tripadvisor® 2023 Travellers’ Choice® award winner

Coldharbour Field Kitchen near Ottery St Mary has been recognised by Tripadvisor as a 2023 Travellers’ Choice award winner as one of the top restaurants worldwide.

This award celebrates businesses that have consistently received great traveller reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months, placing these winners among the 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor globally.

Reviews for the field kitchen often refer to the great breakfasts and superb tapas as well as for the warm welcome, being dog friendly and having wonderful views from the decking.

Co-owner Andrea Broadhurst said: “This was a fantastic surprise for us and it’s really great to know that the vast majority of reviews are positive. We’ve put our heart and soul into the field kitchen and this award shows that what we’re getting it right.”

Business partner Beth Ashfield added: “We work really hard to make sure every customer has a great experience, whether they’re here for a full meal or just for a cuppa and cake. We really do listen to what our customers say and respond whenever possible if there are things that need changing. But most seem very happy with what we’re doing!”

This year the field kitchen has upped its game still further, adding an outdoor kitchen with woodfired oven perfect for pizzas, flame grilled meats and roasted vegetables. From October 8 the very popular Sunday roasts are returning to the menu.

The field kitchen, which only opened in June 2022, now has a clutch of awards to its name including a gold Devon Tourism award and a silver South West Tourism award. Andrea and Beth have also recently been announced as semi-finalists in the West Country Women Awards
