Dog walker attacked in Plymouth

Police in Plymouth are appealing for witnesses after a dog walker was attacked in the Manadon area of the city.

Between 2.45am and 3.15am on Sunday 1 September 1 2013, the male victim was walking with his German Shepherd dog on St Peter’s road near the junction of Vanguard Close when a blue, Jaguar estate taxi pulled up alongside him.

The lone driver of the taxi, a man, shouted at the victim before getting out of the taxi, grabbing him by the arms and assaulting him.

The victim fell as a result and sustained injuries to his arms.

The attacker is described as a white man, aged around 65 years, 5ft 5ins tall with a tubby build. He was wearing a black waist-length sports jacket, black trousers and black shirt.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have been in the area at the time.
