Every day’s a school day – Exeter housebuilder donates over £800 to local pupils

An Exeter housebuilder has donated £840 to support a local school.

Redrow South West, which is currently building new homes at St Michael’s Meadow, on Chudleigh Road, has presented Alphington Primary School PTFA with a donation as part of its Community Fund initiative.

The fund aims to help local organisations with specific donations that give them the tools they need to continue to thrive, and local causes were invited to apply for their share of a £10,000 pot.

Alphington Primary School’s Parent, Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) supports pupils to enjoy regular activities beyond the standard school curriculum. Organising school trips, helping develop an outdoor Forest School space and providing enrichment activities, the PTFA is an integral part of school life.

Sharon Tarr, Headteacher at Alphington Primary School, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Redrow South West for this generous donation. The funds will make a huge difference to the school and mean we can continue to provide exciting trips and activities for our pupils.”
