Fire service believe Tavistock pallet fire started deliberately
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called out last night to deal with a serious fire involving approximately 1000 wooden pallets which spread to a nearby workshop in Tavistock.
The fire is now out but crews are continuing with damping down. No one has been hurt in the incident.

The service report receiving a call at 11.44pm, and initially mobilised two fire appliances from Tavistock. On arrival fire crews confirmed a large fire and requested further support. Fire appliances from Tavistock, Launceston, Yelverton, Ivybridge, Bere Alston and Plymouth were in attendance and tackling the fire.
Crews worked through the night, forcing entry into the single storey warehouse in order to extinguish the fire, using two sets of breathing apparatus and hydraulic cutting equipment.
The fire also consumed approximately 500 litres of fuel.
By about 3am, crews had surrounded and controlled the fire but relief crews arrived to continue damping down around 5am.
