Food Drink Devon joins forces with Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce
Food Drink Devon (FDD), the county’s leading membership organisation in the food and drink industry, is thrilled to announce that it is joining forces with Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce (DPCC) to strengthen their influence in this sector at both a regional and national level.
Barbara King, Chair of Food Drink Devon explains: “As a not-for-profit membership organisation we are always working hard to promote our members and raise Devon’s culinary profile as a whole. DPCC is a large, respected and influential organisation providing an important voice for businesses in our county and we see a lot of benefits for our members and our industry in creating a close working relationship with them.
“Throughout the pandemic we have worked tirelessly to support our members and we know that with tough times ahead we need to be constantly finding new ways to achieve this. By partnering with DPCC our members can benefit from their network both regionally and nationally.”
Stuart Elford from Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce comments: “The food and drink sector in Devon is world-class and supports a leisure, hospitality and tourism sector that has been badly hit by the current pandemic. Accredited Chambers of Commerce have a powerful lobbying voice directly into Westminster and Devon & Plymouth Chamber wants to use that and do all we can to support this important sector that is vital to the region’s economy. We are delighted to be partnering with Food Drink Devon to work collaboratively to support our members and ensure they not just survive but thrive in the future.”
Food Drink Devon is the county’s only dedicated membership organisation supporting quality, sustainability and provenance in the food and drink sector.
The Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce is an accredited member of the British Chambers of Commerce network and a membership organisation with over 200 years’ experience in the Plymouth & Devon economy, the Chamber is an integral part of the regional community and fulfils an important role in connecting members to national business issues and Westminster.
