Community groups are invited to apply for funding that’ll help them deliver projects which celebrate all that’s great about Dartmoor.

Following on from the recent Moor than meets the eye-funded Parishscapes project, similar funding is now available so communities can develop projects that are important to their area’s history and heritage.

• Conserve, enhance or celebrate the cultural, natural and built landscape of a parish.
• Help more people learn about, understand and enjoy the heritage of Dartmoor.
• Improve access, either physically or intellectually, to the heritage of Dartmoor.
• Provide a socio-economic benefit to the community.
• Provide or improve a valued community service or facility.
• Support community action towards zero carbon.

The maximum grant available for any project is £5,000 but hurry – deadlines for applications close on January 31.

Emma Stockley, Dartmoor National Park Authority’s Community Engagement Officer, said: "We're pleased to have supported a number of Dartmoor communities through the Moor than meets the eye Parishscapes project and I would urge groups to find out more about the funding on offer and submit their applications."

Eligibly criteria applies. Projects need to be within the National Park or in West Devon, South Hams and Teignbridge (excluding Ashburton and Buckfastleigh) and serve the needs of those communities.
