Headbutt leaves man needing 60 stitches
Police are appealing for witnesses following a shocking attack that left a man requiring 60 stitches to his forehead.
Neil Rogers, aged 47, was outside of the Cider Press in Plymouth Barbican between 9.45-10pm on Friday 18th December when he was head butted by an unknown offender without provocation.
This attack caused Mr Rogers to fall directly onto a glass set of railings, which caused a facial injury and a severe wound to his forehead which required 60 stitches.
Detective Constable Christian Ferris said: “This is a shocking unprovoked attack in a busy area of Plymouth that has left Neil with horrific injuries, requiring two operations and now has 60 stitches in his head.
“We are certain that someone has witnessed this attack and holds information which can help us identify the attacker. We hope that releasing these images will prompt someone to come forward.
“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the Barbican area around the time of the attack and who noticed anything strange, or who saw this cowardly attack take place to contact police on 101 quoting police crime number CR/087704/15.”
