To celebrate National Mills Weekend, the National Trust is opening the doors of a working watermill to the public for free on Saturday 11 May, 1pm-4pm. This is the first time the mill has been open to the public since 2019.

Following extensive restoration, visitors to Manor Mill can once more watch the impressive waterwheel in action. As the machinery turns, the air is filled with the sounds and judders of a bygone age, and the history of the building comes to life before your eyes.

Further opening hours will be confirmed shortly.

The National Trust is currently seeking mill volunteers to help provide a warm welcome to visitors and share its story with the public.

Anyone interested in this opportunity is asked to contact branscombe@nationaltrust.org.uk or call 01297 680507.

More information can also be found onwww.nationaltrust.org.uk/volunteering and on www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/devon/branscombe.

Manor Mill is in the centre of Branscombe village, on Mill Lane (postcode EX12 3DS).

Limited parking is available at the National Trust carpark, by the Old Forge. More parking is available next door at Branscombe Village Hall car park (donations welcome).
