Recruitment to find a new BID Manager for Plymouth City Centre Company has begun following the recent announcement that Stefan Krause will be leaving the post at the end of April.

The board are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and commercially focused City Centre Manager to deliver the new BID, which received a successful yes vote recently for a third five year term.

A fixed term contract up until March 2020 will be awarded to the successful candidate which will see them deliver the BID priorities to grow Plymouth City Centre into becoming a major retail and visitor destination in the South West.

Chair of Plymouth City Centre Company, Douglas Fletcher, said: “The recruitment process has started and I’m confident that we will find the right calibre of person to fill this role. It’s an exciting opportunity for someone with a successful track record in Town Centre management, BID or retail experience to really push their career forward.

“During the next five years they will be directly involved in many diverse projects including re-vamping the West End of the city, the Drake Circus Leisure development along with the new coach hub at Mayflower West as well as a number of events.

“We will be advertising this position nationally and look forward to being able to announce the new manager shortly.”

A key part of the role, which will be directly accountable to the Chairman and City Centre Company Board, will include maximising commercial funding opportunities in order to support projects that will help local businesses within the city.

Applicants interested in this post are asked to send their CV and supporting letter to Douglas at Ballard House by Monday 27 April.
