It's raining fashion at the Met Office
WESC Foundation, a school and college for children, young people and adults with sight loss, is a specialist centre for Visual Impairment. The Exeter-based charity held a sell-out fashion show fundraiser hosted at the Met Office sponsored by ITEC Connect. More than 150 guests descended on the Met Office before being whisked off in chauffer driven limousines courtesy of Mercedes-Benz Exeter to feel like a star posing for the paparazzi on the red carpet before enjoying a champagne reception.
Witty broadcaster Judi Spiers compéred the fashion show with the autumn/winter 2015 collection from John Lewis modelled by Exeter College Fashion Students, who also showcased their own distinctive designs on the catwalk.
A charity raffle and auction raised further funds with high-value lots such as a three- day charter for up to 11 people on board the luxury 86’ motor yacht ‘Lady Tatiana of London’. BBC programme ‘Homes Under the Hammer’ host Graham Barton acted as auctioneer and a grand total of £6,500 was raised for WESC’s ‘Communication Aids Appeal’.
