Dogs Trust Ilfracombe is searching for a forever home for a homeless hound who has turned out to be quite the star performer.

As Strictly Come Dancing fever grips the nation, the team at the Rehoming Centre are hoping that with his special dance moves, 14-month-old Lurcher Leo might finally find his perfect partner.

Dogs Trust Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre Manager, Elise Watson, comments: “Lovely Leo is fab-u-lous! He came to us in September and we’ve certainly uncovered his talents!

“As a Lurcher he has quite long legs which are ideal for dancing around our training hall. He loves nothing more than partnering up with one of our canine carers to work through a little routine.

“He likes to begin his performance by shaking paws with his partner before they head off in ‘paw-fect’ time across the floor, doing a turn or two and ending with his favourite position - a play-bow!”

Leo shunned the limelight at first but he has now come out of his shell is more than happy to be the centre of attention.

Elise says: “He really is a star and definitely gets top marks from us! We would just love it if his glitter ball moment took the shape of a new home and he danced off to his new life with his special someone very soon.”

Leo is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy learning new things and run around playing with his toys. He likes to be the star attraction so living with a family who could be his audience would be ideal.

Like all champions he needs to continue with his training so needs a family willing to spend time perfecting his routine.

If you think you could give Leo and loving home please call Dogs Trust Ilfracombe on 0300 303 0292.
