Local musicians to take part in community event on MTV stage
Local artists, bands and community groups are being given a chance to perform on the massive MTV Crashes Plymouth stage, the day after the main event.
Plymouth City Council has secured use of the main stage to hold a community music evening on Wednesday 16 July.
The free event will run from 5pm to 10.30pm and will be open to the public, so anyone who was unable to secure tickets for the MTV Crashes Plymouth show will get the opportunity to experience another great music event.
Deputy Council Leader Peter Smith said: “We’re really excited to be holding the MTV Crashes Plymouth event this July, but it was really important for us to secure the use of the big stage for our local bands and musicians to be able part of this.
“We’re also delighted that it’s happening the day after the MTV event as there will be a massive buzz in the city and hopefully our local talented musicians will make the most of it.”
Performance slots will vary from 15 minutes to 30 minutes and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Anyone interested in performing should complete and return the application form as soon as possible.
