Man punched in face outside Plymouth club
Police in Plymouth are appealing for any witnesses to contact them after a man was punched to the face outside a Plymouth nightclub.
The alleged incident took place outside the Oceana nightclub in the early hours of Thursday 31 October.
At around 3am, near the railings which are directly opposite the entrance, a man was punched to the face causing a serious facial injury.
The suspect is described as a black man, aged around 23-years-old and around 170 cm tall (5ft 7in). He had a muscular, ‘body-builder’ type appearance and short black hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black jacket, black trousers and had a silver stud ear-ring in one of his ears.
The victim, a man in his late twenties from Plymouth, required surgery due to the injuries sustained.
A police spokesman said: “This was a shocking incident, where a young man was punched very hard, leaving him with a fractured jaw that required surgery. This violence is not acceptable in Plymouth. We now need the public’s help in identifying the suspect so whoever did this can be brought to justice.
