May the Paws be with you!

As Star Wars returns to the big screen, staff at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe are searching the galaxies to help some astronomically amazing dogs find loving homes of their own.

Leading the line-up of ‘Star Paws’ characters hoping to find a home that is out of this world are Lurcher ‘Kobi Wan Kenobi’ who is ready to use his Jedi forces of good to help himself and pal Phoebe find their forever home and Beagle ‘Luca Skywalker’ who is keen to be the leader of his own destiny in a devoted new home. Staff are now hoping local dog lovers will be able to put their ‘Hans’ up for the cosmic characters to ensure they won’t remain ‘Solo’.

The rehoming centre has also recently played host to Shih Tzu duo, Russell and Lily who bore a striking resemblance to Star Wars favourites, Ewok bears. Luckily the force was with the devoted duo who have now found a quiet home in a village of their own, where they are happily settling down to enjoy plenty of fuss and cuddles.

Dogs Trust Ilfracombe Assistant Rehoming Centre Manager, Rogan Quinn said: “Our Star Paws characters are all absolute stars in their own right - we hope the force will be with them and that they will finally find the furry tail endings they deserve. We would love for them all to find happy new homes in galaxies not too far away from the Rehoming Centre so if anyone thinks they can make them the centre of their universe, please get in touch.”
