Motorcyclist seriously injured in Plymouth
Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in Plymouth in which a male motorcyclist was seriously injured.
Emergency services were called to Laira Bridge at 8.35pm on Friday 29 May after the collision between a black Suzuki motorcycle and a blue Rover 45 car.
The 25-year-old Plymouth motorcyclist sustained serious injuries which were initially thought life-threatening. He was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
The car driver, a 53-year-old man from Northampton, sustained minor injuries in the collision.
The road was closed for five hours while officers from the Force Serious Collisions Investigation Unit examined the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision which happened on the Plymstock-bound carriageway at the junction with The Ride.
They are also keen to hear from anyone who saw either vehicle travelling on Laira Bridge prior to the incident.
