New SPAR store opens in Crediton
A new SPAR store has opened on the high street of the market town Crediton.
The store, on a site formerly operated by Co-op, will provide a strong fresh food and core grocery range, and supports local producers when possible.
Additionally, a range of hot food-to-go and supplies such as toys and household essentials will be available. SPAR also has plans to introduce Costa Coffee facilities.
Dan Lavin, area manager, said: “We are really happy to have joined the bustling high street of Crediton and look forward to serving the local community around us.
“We have further plans to develop the store’s offering with local produce, and some exciting frozen ranges for when our customer’s time is tight, but they want a tasty and nutritious meal that feels homemade.”
Future developments for the store include management looking to add more local ranges to continue supporting producers in the surrounding area.
Other services at the store include National lottery, a pay point and an ATM.
The new store is owned and managed by Appleby Westward, SPAR’s wholesaler for the South West. It is one of 128 stores throughout the region.
