Nordic Walking comes to Saltram
Saltram is opening its doors to a new exciting activity, the benefits of which include improved fitness levels, weight loss and, most importantly, having fun.
Nordic walking has become extremely popular in the UK in recent years, getting people outdoors to enjoy the open space and scenery while helping them keep active.
Saltram are offering a FREE taster session on Monday 23 February to give people the opportunity to see what it is all about and have a go.
After the taster session, there will be weekly walks throughout the remainder of the year which include pole hire and are led by a qualified Nordic Walking instructor.
Charlie McGuin, Sport Development Officer for Saltram and Plym Valley, explains: ‘It’s fantastic to team up with Pauline, the instructor, who is really keen to reach out to the community of Plymouth. We hope to get them all enjoying the special places the National Trust looks after while getting them active. I am really excited offer this activity as I want to attract a wider audience to everything Saltram has to offer.’
