It’s not too late to sign up for a range of different courses as part of this year’s exciting Summer Mix programme.

Hundreds of young people from right across Plymouth have already signed up for loads of free, fun activities this summer from the hundreds of choices available.

Summer Mix is organised and funded by Plymouth City Council’s Youth Services, and supported by a variety of other organisations. Plymouth City Council’s Sports Development Unit are providing a fantastic programme of free sporting activities from family activities to climbing, basketball, street games and much more.

Councillor Terri Beer Cabinet Member for Children and Young people said: “Places are filling up fast so I really would urge young people to register their interest as quickly as possible as places are allocated on a first come first served basis. Some of the fantastic activities still available include bubble football, roller disco and boxing sessions happening every week.

“If you are looking for opportunities to boost your career why not have a look at getting a qualification with accredited Playwork, a range of First Aid courses or Level 2 Food Safety in Catering and remember it’s all free.”

Summer Mix runs from 1 to 26 August and is open to any young person living in Plymouth aged 11 to 19, up to 25 for those with a disability.
