Park for a pound at Western Approach this Christmas
Late night shoppers can park for just £1 from 3pm at Plymouth’s Western Approach car park in the run-up to Christmas.
We’re providing discounted parking every Thursday night to get folk into the festive spirit and encourage them to see what the city centre’s West End shops have on offer.
Councillor Steve Ricketts, Cabinet Member for Transport and Housing Delivery said: “Thursdays are a big night for retailers in the run-up to Christmas and we hope this great offer will encourage shoppers into some of our smaller, independent shops.”
Steve Hughes, Chief Executive of the Plymouth City Centre Company, said: “This is great news for Christmas shoppers and our traders, especially those in the West End where we have so many great independent stores offering something different. We also hope shoppers will come and have a look at the newly refurbished market which is earning a growing reputation as a place to meet, eat and drink and browse the many new and traditional stalls.”
Plymouth is being turned into a Winter Wonderland this Christmas, with log cabin style stalls, real snow, reindeer, fabulous lights and decorations and even a Santa-driven train.
Shoppers and visitors can grab a mulled wine at the Christmas Market, wander the streets of the Barbican with Ebenezer Scrooge or hunt around the city centre and waterfront with two festive family trails. See the Visit Plymouth website for more details.
