Plymouth to host sci-fi Christmas spectacular

Once again thousands of people are expected to visit the Plymouth Guildhall this month for ‘X-MAS CON’ a Toy/Film, Comic & Sci-Fi extravaganza.

The Event will run over two days on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 December between 10.30am and 5pm.

The theme of this year’s event is all about Christmas Sci-Fi Cheer and there will be lots of things to make visitors smile. Children will be able to visit our very own North Pole, situated on the 2nd Floor of the Guild Hall.  They will have a chance to meet Santa, post their Christmas letters in his special post box & have their photo taken on his Sleigh, plus get a free sweet treat.

Star guests include acclaimed Star Wars Actor Jeremy Bulloch aka Boba Fett & Kenneth Colley aka Admiral Piett.

The official Star Wars Association, will be landing their Giant Christmas Space Ship on the stage in the main hall and there will be an opportunity to have pictures taken with, Obi Wan Kenobi, Chewbacca and the Stormtroopers, as well as with Darth Vader Santa.

Visitors can enjoy their lunch in the Christmas themed CAFÉ MARVEL and both young and old can come along and join in the feast of colour and imagination, with many dressed up characters.  There will be a Cos Play Competition upstairs on the Sunday and prizes awarded for the best efforts.  

There will be a wide range of fabulous and unique goods on sale, including toys, film memorabilia, comics, jewellery, clothing, shoes as well as Video Gaming, photography and famous autographed pictures.

The ‘X-MAS CON’ event provides a great place to get that special out-of-this-world Christmas gift. Fans of all TV, Film & Comic heroes and families alike will be sure to have a really enjoyable day.

These events are very popular and look to extend in the coming years. With the theme this year being Christmas Sci-Fi Cheer people will be getting in the Christmas spirit.”

Tickets can be bought in advance, from Final Frontier, 132 Cornwall Street, Plymouth, Exeter & St Austell, through Pay Pal to eventsfrontier@hotmail.com or bought on the day at the Plymouth Guildhall.

Entrance is £5 for one day or £8 to attend both.  A limited number of pre-book, VIP 2Day tickets are available at £12. This allows Fast Track to the Guest Stars, plus Early Bird entry at 9.30am on Saturday. Children under 8 can attend for free, but does not include the cost of autographs/photographs.
