Plymouth neighbours celebrate lottery win

Seven people in Plymouth are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode. 

The Stowe Gardens neighbours netted the windfall when PL5 3PS was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Monday 6th January 2020.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson sent his well-wished to the winners. He said: “What great news to start the week! Congratulations to our winners in Plymouth.”

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised over £500 million for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

This draw was promoted by the Wildlife Trusts which has received over £10.7 million in funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery. The trusts run around ten thousand wildlife events each year and work to make sure that everyone has access to wildlife and nature in their daily lives.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players support, and the next opportunity local charities will have to apply for funding will be early next year.
